Today we speak to our Chief Financial Officer Taneli Virtanen who joined F-Secure in 1999.

Where were you 25 years ago?

I was studying at  Helsinki School of Economics.  It was fascinating.

What’s surprised you most since you’ve joined F-Secure?

During my 14 years at F-Secure, there have been many highlights. The company spirit is strong; as a result, there are quite a few people that have left and returned to the Company.

What’s your favorite piece of technology?

I think that we have created many great things over the years. Of course, all money-making technology is close to my heart :).

What F-Secure memory is most irreplaceable to you?

Hard to say one; IPO time was exciting, turning positive was great and the global expansion is really interesting.

How will the world be different in 25 years?

As they say “Forecasting is difficult, especially about the future”. But  I am sure that it will be very different be in many ways.

What’s your 25th birthday wish for F-Secure?

Be bold, be innovative and good luck.
